Pool heaters in South Florida work in salt air, strong sun and summer rain. Once a heater is somewhere between 8 and 12 years old, it's worth asking whether the next repair makes sense or whether the money is better spent on a new unit. Signs it may be time:
| ✓ | Rust or corrosion on the cabinet, fan grill or coil | | ✓ | It takes longer to heat the pool than it used to | | ✓ | The same error code keeps coming back | | ✓ | New rattling or grinding from the fan or compressor | | ✓ | You've paid for more than one repair in the last couple of years |
Not every older heater needs replacing. We'll tell you honestly when a repair makes more sense, and when it doesn't we'll size a new heater to your pool.
